The Odes of Solomon are, surprisingly, unconnected with Solomon.
They are very early Christian Hymns dating to around 100 A.D. and were known to St Ignatios of Antioch who was martyred in Rome 107 A.D. They may be included with other, very early Christian writings such as the two Letters of Clement, the Didache, The Shepherd of Hermas and the Letters of St Ignatios himself.
